Cristiano Ronaldo bagged 31 goals last season to win the Premier League golden boot. Can anyone stop him this time around?

The draw or the 3rd qualifying round of the 2008-09 Champions League has been made at UEFA headquarters in Nyon.

The draw has produced several intriguing ties, with Schalke’s encounter with Atletico Madrid probably the pick of the bunch.

Liverpool, finalists two seasons ago have been pitted against Standard Liege, while fellow Premier League outfit, Arsenal, face former England manager Steve McClaren, now in charge at FC Twente.

Barcelona, winners in 2005 have been given a relatively straightforward task against either Beitar Jerusalem or Wisla Krakow, while Juventus, who return to the competition after a two-year gap as a result of their relegation for match-fixing, will be pleased to have been drawn to face the winners of the tie between Tampere and Artmedia.
