Chelsea have announced a long-term partnership with the owners of four MLS clubs which will involve the club playing in a biennial tournament in the United States.

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon revealed that the London club will enter into a strategic alliance with Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG).

They are the operators of four MLS teams and developers of stadiums including The Home Depot Center in Los Angeles and venues under construction in Bridgeview, Illinois and Harrison, New Jersey.
