Petr Cech has agreed a switch to Chelsea and will join the Premier League club in the summer.
Rennes sporting director Pierre Dreossi did not discllose the size of the fee the wealthy London club paid for the Czech international keeper, but reports over the past few weeks claim the 21-year-old will cost Chelsea £9m.
The young keeper was also reportedly being pursued by Real Madrid and Inter, but given the billions at the disposal of their owner Roman Abramovich, Chelsea are in the enviable position of being able to outbid allcomers.
