Czech Republic midfielder Jiri Jarosik is set to join Chelsea, according to Czech news agency CTK.

The 27-year-old Jarosik met with Chelsea officials and manager Jose Mourinho earlier today and agreed a six-month loan deal with the Premeirship leaders.

Speculation about Jarosik’s move from CSKA Moscow to Chelsea, owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, began to surface at the end of last year.

Jarosik impressed for CSKA for the last two seasons, playing in 55 games and scoring 12 goals. He has played 20 times for the national side.
