Arsenal defender Ashley Cole has confirmed that he does not know whether he will still be at Highbury next season.

Quizzed about his intentions, Cole replied: “It’s just hard for me to say at the moment.”

The England full-back is at the centre of a Premier League investigation into allegations he was the subject of an illegal approach by Chelsea.

Arsenal meet Chelsea on Wednesday, but Cole refuses to be distracted by the speculation about his own position.

“Of course, Chelsea is going to be a really tough game but for me it is just like a normal match,” he added.

“I expected the stick I got at Highbury and I thought there was going to be more of it.

“I have just got to keep playing well and giving 100% every game, which I think I am doing, and hope things change.

“I am used to the media giving me stick, so I don’t think the fans are going to affect me.”
