Enrico Preziosi offered to quit as president of Como after the 1-0 defeat by Bologna in protest at the refereeing of FIFA official Alfredo Trentalange.

Preziosi was upset by the penalty award which decided the match and pushed Como down next to bottomof Serie A.

He said: “The refereeing was scandalous – totally in Bologna’s favour from first kick to last. It’s disgraceful but not surprising. I cannot bear to stay in this sort of world.”

Como have collected four points from nine matches and are two points off the security zone. They have yet to win a match this season.
