Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo has revealed that he is “ready to make any sacrifice” in order to join Milan on a permanent basis.

The Argentinian, who joined Chelsea from Inter for a fee of £16.8m, is on a season-long loan at the San Siro.

“Milan and Chelsea are working in order to reach an agreement,” the 29-year-old told the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“I believe an agreement will be reached soon. My dream is to remain at Milan until the end of my career but Chelsea are in the middle.”

Following the arrival of Didier Drogba, Crespo was dispartched to the San Siro, where, after a slow start, he has become an increasingly influential figure.

His two goals against Manchester United in the Champions League recently secured a 2-0 aggregate victory and a place for his team in the quarter-finals.
