Milan’s Hernan Crespo has admitted he wants to meet Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Crespo is on loan from Chelsea to Milan for the rest of the season, but he hopes to come face-to-face to with the Premier League leaders in the next round of the Champions League.

“I would like to meet Chelsea in the next round,” said Crespo.

“I am not saying it because of revenge at all, I left with many fond memories, but at a social level I didn’t adapt.”

Crespo scored 10 goals in 29 appearances for Chelsea last season, but he was offloaded by the club during the summer and after a slow start, he has vindicated the faith placed in him by Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti.

“I wasn’t in my best form when I arrived in Milan but I have worked very hard this year with respect to my physical condition and I feel fantastic,” he said.

“I am very happy at Milan.”
