Hernan Crespo has praised Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti for for having the confidence to play him against Internazionale.

The Argentine striker was a surprise inclusion in Milan’s team which drew 0-0 with Inter at the weekend and the Argentinian was grateful for the opportunity.

“I’m lacking the rhythm of a match but I feel good,” commented Crespo.

“I thank Carlo Ancelotti. I’ve appreciated a lot the faith he gave me.

“On Sunday, a few times I had difficulties but it’s normal. The last match I played was against Lazio a month ago.

“And when I have many minutes in my legs, everything will be easier.”

With Filippo Inzaghi is still struggling with injury, Ancelotti is expected to stick with Crespo for Wednesday’s league meeting with Atalanta.
