Andres D'Alessandro is hoping to secure a permanent deal with high-flying Real Zaragoza.

The Argentinian forward has spent the season on loan at Real from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, and has impressed since moving to Spain last summer.

Zaragoza are still in the running for a top-four finish, and the former River Plate player is hoping his performances will earn him a permanent switch.

"My aim is to work hard every day to make myself even better and to ensure that I stay here," he explained.

"Hopefully things will happen so that I can stay. If the club wants me then I will stay because that is my first choice."

Following the return of coach Victor Fernandez last summer, Zaragoza have surpassed all expectations and are currently fifth in the table and vying for the final Champions League spot with Valencia.
