Tottenham midfielder Edgar Davids is set to rejoin former club Ajax, according to Spurs boss Martin Jol.
Davids moved to White Hart Lane in August 2005 but the former Dutch international has barely figured this season.
“He played last year but didn’t this year,” said Jol. “It’s better if he plays regularly because of his age.
“They are having a deal with him, they said in Holland, and the only thing is we have to agree with them.”
Jo also denied reports that he had fallen out with his fellow Dutchman.
“I had so many arguments with him because in Holland he’s a legend,” stated Jol.
“He will ask me ‘why aren’t I playing’ so I tell him. He is a legend and was a very good pro for us, he played on the left when I needed him.”
