Deco has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Barcelona until 2010, the club have confirmed.
“I had offers from other clubs but I never wanted to talk about them. I always wanted to stay here, the club wanted me to stay so it was very easy to reach an agreement,” Deco told Barcelona’s website.
The 27-year-old follows right back Damia Abella and Spain international midfielder Xavi in agreeing a new contract.
The naturalised Portuguese international joined Barcelona from Porto on a four-year contract last July and was instrumental in Barcelona’s La Liga success.
