Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano admits that he is tempted by the prospect of a move to Deportivo la Coruna.

It has been widely reported that Real Madrid had agreed to take the 20-year-old to the Santiago Bernabeu when the transfer window reopens in January.

However, the River Plate player insists that he has yet to decide which club he will join.

“Both clubs have the same chances of signing me,” he stated.

“For me, there is no preference for Real Madrid right now.

“When I am presented with a concrete proposal I will take the decision I consider most suitable. I have many things to evaluate.

“Money is not the only thing, but you have to consider it. I value the economic and sporting side as of equal importance.

“I am prepared to lose money to go to a team who values me and shows a big desire to sign me.”
