The agent of Barcelona’s Giovanni Dos Santos has confirmed that Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in signing the player.

Dubbed the ‘new Ronaldinho’, the young Mexican starlet has been one of the standout performers in this year’s Under-17 World Cup in Peru, and his coruscating displays have attracted interest from the Premiership giants, as well as Mexican sides Monterrey and America.

Aware that both Arsenal and United have snapped up Cesc Fabrigas and Gerard Pique – two of their promising younger players – for minimal fees in recent seasons, the Catalans will be eager to keep a hold of the player – the son of Brazilian ace Zizinho. Having tied him to a new four-year contract, they will be confident of doing so.
