Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba has reiterated he is happy at Chelsea despite previously claiming he wanted to leave.

In October Drogba gave an interview to France Football expressing a desire to move on from Stamford Bridge, with Real Madrid reported to be his preferred destination.

Drogba, who today will hope to fire the Ivory Coast to victory in their African Nations Cup semi-final against Egypt, insists he will continue to give his all to Chelsea.

“I said what I had to say and I think that was understood.

“The important thing is that my performances on the field have remained the same, or maybe even got better,” said Drogba.

“What counts is giving 100% in a Chelsea shirt. Today, working in a good atmosphere with a common goal is fantastic.”

“Winning the Champions League and Premier League – these are the types of challenges that I love and I am happy.”
