Arsenal midfielder Edu has admitted that he would be keen on a move to Barcelona.
Edu’s contract with the Premiership champions expires at the end of the season, but he has been unable to reach agreement on a new deal and in January, will be free to talk to other clubs.
Barcelona have been linked with a bid for the 26-year-old and Edu admits he would be honoured by a move to Camp Nou..
“I’ll be free to discuss my future from January if I have not agreed a new deal with Arsenal,” said Edu.
“At present, talks are at a standstill, but if things continue this way, I will be able to make a decision.
“Any footballer would love to play for Barcelona and I am no different. Knowing they are interested in me fills me with pride.
“The two clubs have to talk first. But if the chance comes up I wouldn’t mind taking it.
“The team are playing very well right now and are top of La Liga. But it is a similar story with Arsenal, they are a great club as well.”
