Striker Eduardo da Silva could return to play for Arsenal again in three weeks, manager Arsene Wenger ha confirmed.

The Brazilian-born Croatia striker suffered a fractured left leg and open dislocation of his ankle in a Premier League match against Birmingham City last February and there were fears at the time that the injury could be career threatening.

“Eduardo is three weeks away from playing competitive football,” Wenger told Arsenal’s website (www.arsenal.com).

News on the club’s Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky is less positive though, with Wenger predicting that his hamstring injury will delay his return until after Christmas.
