Everton manager David Moyes has confirmed he is interested in signing FC Thun defender Jose Goncalves.
“He is in for a couple of days’ training,” confirmed Moyes, who will be assessing the left back’s ability with a view to striking a transfer window deal with Thun.
The defender made six appearances in the Champions League this term, helping Thun to a third place in the group and place in the UEFA Cup.
The defender was born in Portugal but moved to Switzerland aged two and is now close to receiving a Swiss passport.
