Everton have reportedly failed with a bid for Benfica defender Luisao.
The Toffees boss David Moyes is looking for at least one new defender following the departure of Joleon Lescott to Manchester City and, according to Portuguese sources, this has led to a €12million bid for Luisao. However, Benfica rejected the bid the offer, telling Everton that they will only do business at €20million.
It now remains to be seen whether Everton will come back for the 27-year-old central defender, who has been with the Portuguese outfit for six years.
