Play-off winners Burnley are the clear favourites to make a quick return to The Championship as bookmakers make them BP 1-2 to be relegated next term.

Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand has confirmed he has been training with his team-mates ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League final.

United meet Spanish champions Barcelona in Rome on Wednesday night as they look to defend their European crown.

England international Ferdinand has not featured for the Premier League chapions since their 3-1 win at Arsenal on 5th May because of a calf injury.

However, defender Ferdinand now appears in the running to start alongside Nemanja Vidic after confirming his injury has improved.

“My injury is fine,” he said.

“I have been training the last couple of days with the team. I feel good.”
