Inter’s Luis Figo has dimissed speculation linking him with a move to Major League Soccer.

The veteran midfielder was rumoured to be set to follow in the foot steps of his former Real Madrid team-mate David Beckham in moving to America.

However, Figo insists he is focused on success with Inter.

“I’ve read the newspapers,” Figo told the Italian media.

“But the agent who follows my commercial interests knows nothing.

“Going to the USA is a possibility at the end of my career, but for me it is not the right time.

“I want to stay here to the end of the season and win the UEFA Champions League and the Italian League too.”

Figo also confirmed he is recovering from the fractured leg he suffered against Juventus in November.

“I’m looking forward to coming back and working with my team-mates,” Figo added. “My leg is not giving me any pain, just a few troubles.”
