Fiorentina are on the verge of sacking coach Sergio Buso after a 2-1 defeat to Roma at the weekend.

President Andre Della Valle has admitted that talks would be held on Monday about the coach’s future, and Buso himself seems resigned to getting the chop.

“We will talk on Monday and there could be a statement about Buso,” said Delle Valle.

“We don’t know how much of the blame is his.

“In the first half against Roma we did well but we didn’t take advantage.

“We have to consider that we are lacking in luck and determination.”

Buso acknowledged that his tenure may soon come to an end.

“I’m at the club’s disposal,” said Buso.

“If they replace me I will be sorry – but I know this is what happens with coaches.”
