Fulham have signed midfielder Michael Brown from Tottenham.

Brown, 29, joined Spurs in January 2004 for from Sheffield United, but has struggled to command a regular place in the first team at White Hart Lane.

“I’m very excited to be joining Fulham and I’m looking forward to the challenges that this new opportunity brings,” Brown told Fulham’s website.

Boss Chris Coleman added: “Michael is a talented footballer and he will add a new dimension to our midfield.”

Brown added: “I enjoyed my time there and wish the club and its supporters well.

“But my prospects there became very limited, so when a club like Fulham who play attractive passing football showed an interest in me, there really was only one decision that I could make.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Chris Coleman and the rest of the squad.”

Tuesday’s transfer window deadline day signing of Egyptian Hossam Ghaly pushed Brown further down the pecking order and he has decided to move.
