Turkey’s football federation has handed out a one-match stadium ban on Gaziantepspor after fans threw objects that hit a linesman in the head during a league game.

The federation’s disciplinary board ruled that Gaziantepspor play one game behind closed doors at a neutral venue. The punishment comes four days after the incident forced a league match against Bursaspor to be abandoned. Bursaspor were leading 1-0.

The linesman required stitches to his head. It was not clear what hit him.
