Real Madrid are now a best price 7/4 for the Copa del Rey after advancing past Atletico last night

Ryan Giggs has told Manchester United that he would like to carry on playing for at least one more season.

“We’ll sit down and talk but I’m really looking forward to playing next year,” the 37-year-old said.

The Welshman added: “I don’t know when it will be sorted out.

“We have been quite relaxed about it over the years but it is usually done and dusted quite quickly.”

The most decorated player in English football history is bidding to win a record 12th Premier League title this season.

United manager Alex Ferguson says “you can see his fitness – it is incredible. He could do another year, who knows, another two years.”

Giggs, who made his debut in March 1991, has made a record 856 appearances for Manchester United and recently played his 600th league game for the club.
