Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has officially signed a new 18-month contract with the club.
The Spanish champions have been in talks with their coach about extending his contract, which was due to expire in the summer.
Guardiola, who reported to be the target of Qatar ahead of the World Cup there in 2022, is now committed to Barcelona until the summer of 2012.
Barca vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu told the club’s television channel: “The club is very happy with Guardiola and hopes he will go on for many years.”
