After holding the mighty Chelsea to draw in the first leg, Wycombe will need another super-human effort if they want to make it the Carling Cup final.

Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath has confirmed he does not expect the club to buy or sell any more players during the transfer window, meaning Owen Hargreaves is unlikely to secure his dream move to Manchester United.

The England international confirmed last week that United had submitted a fresh offer for his services, and Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had also hinted that an agreement could be reached – provided the price was right.

However Magath has now stated that the German champions are not expecting any changes to their squad.

“No, I’m assuming we’ll go in pursuit of our targets – retaining the league championship and performing well in the Champions League – with the squad we have at the moment,” Magath told the club’s official website.

United may be forced to wait until the end of the season before making a fresh move for the Canadian-born midfielder.
