Thierry Henry failed to dampen speculation about his future during a trip to China.

Barcelona have been persistently linked with a move for the Arsenal skipper and sporting director Txiki Beguiristain admitted recently that they had not given up hope of signing Henry.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said earlier in May that there was no way Henry would be sold.

“Since I started playing football there has been speculation about me going to a lot of clubs,” said Henry. “So that will never, ever stop.

“But, as I said, for now I’m an Arsenal player. So there is nothing to add to it.

“For now I am an Arsenal player, so that’s all I can tell you.”
