European champions Real Madrid will be without centre-back and captain Fernando Hierro for up to a month with an ankle injury.
Hierro was forced to leave the pitch after half an hour of Tuesday’s Champions League draw with Belgian side Genk.
Hierro underwent a scan on Wednesday which revealed ligament damage and he now faces three to four weeks on the sidelines.
