Holland name provisional Euro 2008 squad
May 6, 2008Holland coach Marco van Basten has named a 30-man provisional squad for the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland in June.
The squad will be reduced to a maximum of 26 players on May 16, with the final 23 to be named on May 28, Van Basten told the Dutch Football Association Web Site (www.knvb.nl).

Defenders: Wilfred Bouma (Aston Villa), Tim de Cler (Feyenoord), Urby Emanuelson (Ajax Amsterdam), John Heitinga (Ajax Amsterdam), Kew Jaliens (AZ Alkmaar), Joris Mathijsen (Hamburg SV), Mario Melchiot (Wigan Athletic), Andre Ooijer (Blackburn Rovers).
