Lyon coach Gerard Houllier is confident his side can overcome the odds and defeat favourites Milan when the sides meet on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League quarter final tie.

Lyon drew 0-0 at home with Milan in the first leg but Houllier said his side would relish their role as underdogs on Tuesday.

“You’re all making this a David v Goliath thing and you know how that story ends,” Houllier told a news conference.

“That 0-0 is a dangerous result for Milan,” the former Liverpool manager said. “They have to score.

“We know we always score in away matches. It would be a mistake to rate our chances as one out of three. I would call it a good 50-50.”
