Spurs face a tricky looking trip to face Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Cup last 32 tonight.

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has told Robinho that he needs to improve his form away from Eastlands.

Robinho was disappointing again in City’s 2-0 weekend defeat to Portsmouth just days after impressing for Brazil against Italy at the Emirates Stadium.

Hughes recently spoke with the former Real Madrid man and discussed his relatively poor form away from home.

“We’ve had a brief word and we have a chance now that we’re away,” said Hughes.

“We’re speaking in depth – he hasn’t had a great deal of Premier football away from home. That’s the key.

“We have to realise that’s where we are with him.

“The setbacks we are having now will stand him in good stead.”
