Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to signing a new deal at Internazionale that will reportedly see his annual salary rise to £8m.
The striker has been instrumental in Inter’s renaissance since his move from Juventus in 2006, but with the Swede attracting interest from abroad, club president Massimo Moratti is preparing to offer improved termsto secure his services.
“I think that the contract renewal is virtually ready,” said Moratti.
“There are no problems. Will he be paid more than Kaka? No, I don’t think so.
“But there will certainly be similar figures involved.”
