Spain coach Inaki Saez has called up Real Madrid’s Guti and Deportivo La Coruna defender Joan Capdevila to the national squad for the first time for the EURO 2004 qualifier against Northern Ireland later this month.
Deportivo striker Diego Tristan, returns to the squad for the first time since the World Cup finals where he suffered an ankle injury.
Saez has selected enough players to provide cover should anyone drop out or be sidelined through injury.
As usual, Real Madrid have contributed most players, with goalkeeper Iker Casillas, defenders Michel Salgado and Raul Bravo, jined by Helguera, Morientes, Guti and Raul. P
