Andres Iniesta’s hamstring injury is expected to rule him out of Barcelona’s title decider with Real Valladolid on Sunday.

Iniesta hoped to play at the Camp Nou, but on Friday the Spaniard has revealed it would be “difficult” to be fit for the final match of the campaign.

“I’ve had a really hard season,” Iniesta explained. “I started injured and I don’t want to finish in the same situation.”

“It would be really good to play some minutes, but to be honest I don’t think that I will start the game.”

Barca must beat Valladolid to ensure they retain the league title.

“If we won La Liga the celebration would be spectacular,” Iniesta said.
