Internazionale owner Massimo Moratti has dismissed reports claiming Marco Materazzi will be joining Barcelona.
The Spanish champions are reportedly keen on signing the World Cup-winning defender, but any offer is likely to be rejected, as Inter chief Moratti outlined Materazzi’s value to the club.
“Materazzi is a symbol of Inter,” said Moratti in Marca.
“We do not have any official confirmation of Barcelona’s interest nor has there been an offer either.
“But I must say that he is not for sale.
“Materazzi is one of the most important players for Inter.”
