Serbia international Milan Jovanovic has agreed to sign for Liverpool in the summer, according to his agent.

Jovanovic, who will be available on a free transfer as his contract with Standard Liege expires in the summer, has attracted interest from a number of clubs.

And despite apparent interest from the likes of Milan, the player’s agent Zoran Stojadinovic revealed that Benitez has convinced Jovanovic to choose Liverpool.

“We have spoken with Rafa Benitez and he convinced us about his project for the club,” Stojadinovic told the Daily Mirror. “Milan speaks the language and adaptation will not be a problem for him when he moves to England.”
