Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco claims Alessandro Del Piero and Pavel Nedved will stay at the club.

Juventus are expecting an exodus of talent in the wake of their relegation from Serie A, but they remain optimistic of retaining some of their leading players.

Secco insists that both Del Piero and Nedved are planning to stay at the Stadio Delle Alpi.

“I’ve spoken to Alex Del Piero, who told me he’s staying along with Pavel Nedved,” said Secco.

Secco also admitted that Milan had enquired about signing goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon in part exchange with Christian Abbiati, but that deal now seems unlikely.

“With the sale of Abbiati to Torino, the chances of seeing Buffon move to Milan have decreased,” added Secco.

“We spoke to Milan a few days ago about Buffon where they offered us money and Abbiati in exchange.”

Secco also confirmed that Juventus were still in talks with Real Madrid about Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson and Gianluca Zambrotta.

“We’ll meet them again in a few days to talk more,” said Secco.

“We are ready to sell players, but only at the right price.”
