Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi has ruled out a move for Roma striker Antonio Cassano.

There has been speculation about Cassano’s future at Roma after contract negotiations between the club and player broke down.

But Moggi has denied that the forward is currently part of his plans.

“As far as Cassano, nothing will happen in January,” said Moggi. “Cassano is the type of player that I would take in an instant, but I must also take into account the real needs of the team.”

Moggi also denied that he had played a rolw in Roma’s signing of Shabani Nonda and Samuel Kuffour during the summer.

“It’s been said that I suggested them, but Roma have enough experts that can do truly good things and do not have need for my help,” he declared.
