Milan have agreed a five-year contract extension with Brazilian midfielder Kaka.

“I’m really happy to have this renewal,” Kaka told the club’s official website.

“It gives me an important boost before our next domestic and European matches.

“I have signed until 2010 but I hope to be able to extend my stay further.

“I would like to thank Adriano Galliani, Ariedo Braida and Leonardo who have made my stay at Milan a successful one.”

The revised contract completes a fine week for the Brazilian who scored twice, including a wonderful goal, in Milan’s 3-1  Champions League win over Fenerbahce
