Kaka is confident he will be fit to play against Arsenal in the second leg of Milan’s first knockout round tie, despite picking up an injury on Sunday.

The playmaker was taken off at half-time during his side’s 2-1 win against Palermo on Sunday after receiving a knock to his right knee.

However, scans have ruled out a serious injury and the 25-year-old is now hopeful of a quick return to action.

“I will definitely miss the midweek game against Catania,” said the Brazilian.

“At the moment my knee hurts a lot but I hope to play against Arsenal.”

Meanwhile Alessandro Nesta and Clarence Seedorf, who both missed the game against Palermo after suffering thigh and ankle injuries respectively in the 0-0 first-leg draw against Arsenal in London, are expected to recover for the second leg on 4 March.
