New Chelsea signing, Mateja Kezman, had his appeal against a three-match ban upheld by an FA disciplinary commission yesterday and will now be available for the start of the Premier League season.

The £5.5m summer signing from PSV was was handed a three-match ban following his dismissal for violent conduct during last month’s friendly against Roma in the US.

“Kezman will not serve any suspension and no extra punishment would be invoked in the case of another sending-off this season,” an FA statement read.
