Manchester United midfielder Kleberson has completed his £2.5m move to Turkish club Besiktas.

The Brazilian signed a three-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months.

“I have come from one big club to another so I am very happy,” Kleberson told reporters.

Kleberson joined United for £6.5m in 2002 but he made only 28 appearances during his time at Old Trafford.

“I’m very happy to be here,” he said.

“I had no problem accepting the offer but my wife had to be persuaded.

“She agreed to come to Istanbul and take a look last week and, after that, she was convinced.

“I have never been welcomed so magnificently,” he told the club’s official website.

“My first goal is to prove my ability to the coach, make the team and become useful to the team.

“Ailton (fellow Brazilian) told us good things about Besiktas and Istanbul. It is wonderful to be here.”
