Patrick Kluivert’s move to Valencia has been put on hold for up to 20 days after a knee problem was detected during a medical.
The Dutch striker was due to sign a three-year contract with the Spanish side after being released by England’s Newcastle United, but now Valenci awant to carry out further tetsts before signing a contract.
“We want to be absolutely sure that he will be able to perform at the top level and we have decided to wait for between 15 and 20 days to allow time for further examination to take place,” Valencia sporting director Javier Subirats told a news conference.
