Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert has confirmed he will leave Newcastle at the end of the season.

Newcastle has been on loan at St James Park and although the club have an option to sign him permanently, Kluivert is set to leave after a disappointing season.

Kluivert is wanted by a number of Spanish clubs including Valencia, Seville and Real Betis, but as well as Turkish side Fenerbahce.

He told the News of the World: “I am going back to Spain and not Turkey.”

Kluivert arrived at Newcastle on a free transfer from Barcelona last summer.

He has started only 14 Premiership games and scored six league goals.
