Niko Kranjcar has admitted that he hopes to quit Portsmouth for a ‘bigger club’ at the end of the season.

The Croatia midfielder has endured a frustrating 2008-09 campaign, with injuries ruling him out for lengthy spells.

Kranjcar has now revealed that he also intends to leave Fratton Park in the near future, with Arsenal and Monaco having expressed an interest in his services.

“It was always my intention to move to a bigger club, it is always like that in your career,” he told the Daily Mirror.

“If an offer came from a larger club, of course I would want to go.”

Kranjcar remains confident that Pompey are capable of beating the drop.

“There are lots of teams in a similar situation,” he said.

“We know we must fight to stay up and we are ready.”
