Former Everton and Marseille striker Ibrahima Bakayoko has joined Livorno, according to the Serie A club. The Ivory Coast international will be officially presented this evening and joins from French club Istres.

Juventus general director Luciano Moggi has once again denied that the Italian champions are interested in signing highly-rated Roma striker Antonio Cassano. The Italian international has been linked with a move to Turin this summer but Moggi is adamant the transfer will not take place.

“We think that Cassano is a good player but there is no room for him here,” he told Sky Sport Italy.

Luciano Moggi has also claimed that Aston Villa could be on the verge of signing Juventus forward Fabrizio Miccoli. The Serie A club is looking to sell Miccoli as the former Fiorentina man is not part of manager Fabio Capello’s plans. Moggi believes Portuguese side Benfica are interested too.

“In a couple of days time we will know whether he will go to Benfica or Aston Villa,” he said.

Luca Marchegiani has retired after failing to sign for a club in the summer. The former Lazio goalkeeper has decided to stay in football as a fully qualified goalkeeping coach. The former Italian international won the league title with Lazio as well as the Cup Winners Cup and has two Italian Cup winners medals.

Norwich City have agreed a £2 million fee with Birmingham City for striker Clinton Morrison. The Republic of Ireland international claimed he was on his way out of St Andrews earlier this week. The protracted transfer will fuel speculation about the future of Dean Ashton at Carrow Road.

Feyernoord midfielder Shinji Ono could be about to join Hidetoshi Nakata in the Premiership according to reports in Holland. Japanese international Ono has been capped 39 times by his country and it is believed he wants a move away from Rotterdam, with Bolton reportedly keen.

Brazilian star Denilson has completed a shock move to Turkish side Vestel Manisaspor on a season-long loan. The Real Betis winger had been linked with a move back to Brazil after a disappointing season but has decided to sign for the Turkish Super Lig side instead.
