Le Mans have appointed Burkina Faso’s Portuguese coach Paulo Duarte as manager, the Ligue 1 club has confirmed.
“Paulo Jorge Rebelo Duarte will be the new Le Mans coach for the next two seasons. He will also go on with his mission with the Burkina Faso national team until March 31 (2010),” Le Mans said on their website (www.muc72.fr).
Le Mans changed their coach twice last season, with Swiss Daniel Jeandupeux taking over from Yves Bertucci before being replaced by Arnaud Cormier.
Former midfielder Duarte, 40, finished his playing career in 2004 at Uniao Leiria.
