Lille have decided to drop their appeal against the goal scored by Manchester United in last month’s Champions League encounter.
Lille announced that following UEFA’s rejection of their latest appeal, they will take the issue no further.
Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs scored with a quickly taken free-kick, a goal which prompted Lille to temporarily leave the field of play.
Lille had been hoping to get UEFA to overturn the original result – a 1-0 victory for Manchester United – and order a replay of the match.
