Porto have signed Brazilian midfield player Léo Lima on a four-and-a-half year contract from Marítimo.
Léo Lima admmitted he had jumped at the chance to join the European champions.
“I accepted immediately,” he told reporters.
“It’s a dream for any player to play for Porto. Now I just want to prove my worth.”
Marítimo bought Léo Lima from Vasco da Gama before the 2003-04 season, after the player had completed a loan spell at Bulgarian team CSKA Sofia.
He made eleven appearances last season but this season has played 14 times, scoring twice.
